If it's even possible to edit the config for the server, think it wouldn't be a big deal.
I'm having to place 8 per room and coverage still isn't great. It's tedious and unsatisfying to build with them, and them being easy to craft don't see them attributing to the survival aspect.

there is a config for this, but it has a warning that "increasing this number can reduce server performance significantly"

if you still want to try it out, it suggests that if you do decide to increase the number you can increase the refresh ticks so the server isnt constantly checking, but its still a risk.
