This is a spectrum bug, when it gets a crap ton of ink. Dafuqs is already aware of it.

I dont have the ring on anymore (the pink one) and I still have the hp, is this also known/intended?

definitely not. You got 2 ring slots, one for each hand, maybe it's equipped there?

hmm, that sounds like something vanilla may do indeed. Increase max HP cap, but if the player has more, they keep it

The angel ring doesn't need to be equipped fyi... Just in the inv works. So you could have another trinket in there
