Performance issues

Hi, good afternoon. Well, I just wanted to vent—the PS5 version of Spirit of the North Part 2 lags a lot, the screen freezes, and things load so slowly that objects and grass only appear a few meters away, which looks really bad. It doesn't matter which mode I set it to—whether it's Performance or Quality—the optimization is terrible. I play in Performance mode, and the FPS often drops to around 40 FPS.

To be more specific, the issues occur in a really strange way, because the only places where I haven't experienced them are when entering a cave or a graveyard; outside of those areas, the problem pops up, and it's frustrating to play on a PS5 with such poor performance. Still, I believe they could improve the game.

In quality mode, the game usually runs at less than 10 FPS, so I don't play in that mode anymore, but that mode also has another feature: it runs very slowly, at around 40 or even 60 FPS.

Hmmm strange haven't happened to me

Well, sometimes the game freezes for a few seconds—no more than 15 seconds—but that rarely happens. What’s worse is that things like trees and plants load super slowly; I mean, I’m a meter away and they just pop up, which makes it look really bad. I was playing and I’m still in the Musgobosque area—or at least that’s what it’s called in Portuguese; I don’t know what it’s called in English— Oh, the flames on the fire posters would disappear for a few seconds and then reappear almost immediately, but the light they give off stays on.

I have the same system a ps5 lite. And I do experience the same things. But I can definitely assure you that the devs are consistently working on updating the performance. The game is very demanding. Every single update something new changes to help make the game experience better 🐾 ❄️ definitely in the future the game will be so much more smoother. I know that the devs are working on that stutter to be able to resolve that.

I might also say there are some things outside of the game performance settings like the variable refresh rate on and cleaning the system itself to maybe help allow the game to run a little smoother 🐾 ❄️
