odd thing i noticed from the new DLC, all of the main island portals have a stone boundary around them, however the Turtle Home does not need them so either:
a). the turtle tribe is more technologically advanced than the Northern Islanders
b). the stone portal rings are purely decorative or hold cultural significance
I am leaning more towards "a", because from the new scrolls it looks like || the turtle tribe came much later || and the Northern Islands would have had a stunted period of development during and after the war. just my inital thoughts on the DLC. its fun so far

Grimnir learned some dark truths about why the bear guardian was missing. Why his tribe suffered why others prospered. But this is a story for another time as it extends beyond the scope of sotn2. 🙂
