#Totally Professional Players

A few changes were made after this was run on the main stream to help both the ST and players. Noor has changed to track nominations, both to help the player and the storyteller. This change allows the Storyteller to place reminder tokens in the Grimoire before running the vote rather than trying to remember who is voting. This cuts down on reminders and any potentially ST mistakes. Milk has changed the setup ability to [At least 1 Outsider] to both tone the ability down and help obscure the Outsider count.
Noor - Should either be "Each night*, tell ..." or "who will nominate today" depending on how the ability works. Should also clarify if it is meant to be everyone who nominated/will nominate or just one guy.
Aggie - Please don't use unspecified terms, say "the length of the longest line of adjacent Townsfolk".
Chiz & George - I don't like this design. Any players who state anything publicly are immediately suspicious and will be executed as if they are minions. Alejo/Richie/Patters dropping hands at least could have a reason to drop your hand without a special ability.
Emma - Should be "...poisoned until dusk"
Oh shit so these tokens were for a real script 😭
yeah that was what it started as was being kept quiet until it was in a playable state.
The ability for aggie is like that due to a quote from stream and is explained in the almanac (it's meant to be a characterful script not hugely serious) I take you haven't seen the reminders you will hate those then. George is also changing.
A few updates have been made.
why does raj learn whether or not the outsider count has been modified?
isn't the answer always "yes"
because they themselves affected it
I suppose it's that if the outsider count remained the same due to -1 +1 you learn a no
Emma still spawns permapoisoned players RAW though
i don’t know any precedent to suggest that, and it’s 100% reasonable to argue that if the base outsider count is 1 and there is 1 outsider in play, it has not been modified
I would argue that all outsider mod characters suggest it, but I understand that there is more interpretations
the bigger discussion is the definition of "Outsider Count" I suppose
My biggest issue w raj icl is that it’s [-1 Outsider] in a townsfolk ability
bc it can replace an Outsider in any setup
changed it to [-0 or -1 Outsider]
Icl that makes it a bit worse
Bc the info becomes a lot more arbitrary
(Theres also the slight problem that giving -1 in base 0 with a Ben means that the Ben doesn’t get a 2ndary ability)
it used to be you start knowing how many outsiders were in play and that was so powerful when we tried it out
Granted, ig, learning the base count being correct is really powerful
But if you learn a yes then it’s quite rough
dont know why but my mind jumped to if "You start knowing an incorrect number of in-play Outsiders" would work as an ability (not necessarily here, as a general role)
it needs some good support for both positive and negative outsider mod
