I don’t think the bishop makes sense, since the ST’s goal is to balance the game (and prevent meta) so all one team would vote fore their choice leading to good sided games likely.
Also you take away a lot of matron’s power, the point is imo all discussion needs to be public.
And finally with voudon I think it’s pretty fine as is, the point is the town has to executed some trusted players so they lose their abilities but get to vote

Beside that, I don't think we'll ever see base travellers changed, since they're already released.
You can change stuff and run it, that'd be homebrew and would go in exp channel.

it just doesn’t work with the core concept of the characters, you’d have to totally rework them to ‘balance’ them in the ways you want i think

I think the large issue is *also that (in most games i've seen and from my pov), there's a very very big difference between active players and inactive players, so people sitting next to inactive players probably won't have a great time

I have barely seen any Matron games.
Most text STs don't allow it I think. I've only played matron once in travel along and it was modified to still allow normal whispers and I should do all the swaps per day all at once and tag all the necessary people + the ST and then the st posts the updated grim pic.
I think it worked out fine?
