Hello! I have been in the queue for a while, and the holidays are a busy time, so I'm checking in with all of our pre-ins for Face Your Fears:

First off, are you still interested?

Second, how do we feel about playing during the holidays? This is a script that requires both teams to actively plan with each other to get the most from their abilities, so a reasonable level of activity is a must, and I get it if people either can't or just don't want to be active in a text game between Christmas and New Years. I have a preference for running it ASAP for my own schedule, but I'll generally follow the temperature of the group.

Third, does anyone have any hard blackout dates? For example, I'm imagining that depending on timing, the game is either paused or doesn't start yet on Christmas Day itself, unless everyone is fine with it (I personally don't really celebrate Christmas, so I won't mind if everyone is around, but I certainly understand that for some the idea of being on Discord on Christmas isn't appealing).

  3. i don't think there will be any days where i'm completely not going to log on to discord, but christmas day and new years eve i'd probably be less available and not online in the evenings

Given the timing and the fact that that's only a few days away and I haven't actually claimed a channel yet, right now I'm leaning towards having a long Night 1 that stretches over Christmas, and then starting promptly afterwards

I'm also not averse to starting soon, like, really soon, and getting a full game day in before Christmas Eve, but I worry that saps momentum in a way that starting the game in 5 days simply doesn't

  2. I can tone down my own activity as a Traveler or enter late, but I’d rather not commit to anything that requires major time investment before Christmas Day for some mental health and some holiday reasons
  3. New Year’s Eve is a little busy but I can and will check my phone during the downtimes where it isn’t rude to have my phone out. It’s only the Eves that I have irl commitments for, not the Days

Yup - plan is to have channel, lock players, and make ST threads this weekend. I'll do setup, give people the entire holiday to submit n1 actions, and start day 1 post christmas
