When logging on to the internet you Can Meet plenty of nice people, but sometimes you Meet truly corrupted ones. Ones that should not be able to say anything or do anything on the internet, with the horrible things they can do. Our story begins in discord server bluff, a place made by people that just wanna play games and have fun.. Until one day a horrible group of people joined with alternate accounts just to destroy the fun, making the owner and the moderators to ban anyone the majority of people think is a “corrupted one” from the group. But overtime they learn how to hack and ban the mods and the owner aswell, can you figure out who they are before they have the upper hand? But beware because over time their leader learns how to ban people from the server, so act fast before everyone is banned

Here is the almanac for anyone that wants to check out the script, it has examples to make the role easier to understand: https://www.bloodstar.xyz/p/h20banana/cyber-defense/almanac.html
Also if you have any problems with balancing issues, tell me by DM-ink me or pinging me in #homebrew-discussion
How does Journalist work in 1-Minion games?
Commissioner sounds like a straight upgrade to the Video Maker? (Less uncertainty and no drunkenness)
Some of those roles are worded in a way that's unclear/too wordy. I can't do an in-depth discussion of each case right now, I'll try to remember to do it this evening
I am down to speak things out with the roles, I have also changed video maker to know 2 roles instead of 1, and to the commissioner I added “once per game they will receive false info.
Should also add to video maker that “only good players can get drunk from you”
Also you should DM the rewording to me btw since that is the easiest way for me to remember and check
But thanks for the feedback 🙂
I still think that having two roles that do things that are so similar only with minor tweaks or variants, is kinda redundant
Also makes it harder to remember each role since they blend together so much
What if commissioner did character types, AKA outsider, minion, townsfolk, demon
Would that make it better?
It's still the same thing. Choose X players and learn something about the character of one of them, with maybe extra fluff
I think they need radically different abilities, not just riffs in the same idea
Perhaps “before noms announce X amount of people. If at least 1 of them is an outsider/minion you learn a yes at night, if not you learn a no” (btw X is not as many as you want it’s a certain amount of people like 3 or 4) and also then it should have a -1 outsider to make it find minions easier
-1 Outsider is very powerful on a Townsfolk on its own
But yeah that could be interesting, although it might be a bit too similar to Juggler. It's a broader but repeatable ability I guess
Also, I'm not entirely sure about some of the names for the character. "The Cringe" is not something I'd see myself say in a game of BOTC
yeah i just didn't have any better names
could rename it to some sort of "outcast" on the internet or something like that
but honestly, if you have any name ideas i will prob change it to that
but yeah if i think most of the other names are not that big of a problem
if you need explanation for them i could just write it's purpose down
but for the cringe yeah i do wanna rename it i just don't know what i should rename it to
any other name problems?
I don't have time to go through all of them right now, I'll take a look later
also i changes the popular guy to this: On the First night, you learn all outsider in play. If you are killed by the demon, everyone learns your role (+1 or -1 outsider)
I personally don’t really like it, 3 achievements can be both easy or hard as heck, I mean it can confirm someone but what if you die midgame
