I need some feedback for the first few chapters of my novel

This is also my very first time ever trying to write something of this volume, please be merciful

Just started reading...I'm not certain I like an opening like that, lost, no memory, nothing there...but then there is something there: the trees.

Also I was confused by the elk walking "not away from me", so I assumed towards me, but not so.

Must've been a mistake with phrasing

You'll probably see a lot of that, try your best to ignore it, I'll try my best to fix it

When Sigrid first appeared, she seemed to be far away...leaning on a tree in the distance, but then when Mr Antler showed up, she was suddenly right beside the MC. I hadn't pictured any trees near him, and no one seemed to have moved.

Yeah like a said a lot of phrasing issues, thank you for pointing them out though I missed them entirely

Ah! Suddenly 'Morth' is identified, yet no one had mentioned his name.

The mansion was visible at a distance beyond the village (which had suddenly appeared though they hadn't moved), but then as they are walking towards it, we see "Through the thickening mist now suddenly its shape materialised."

BTW, do you prefer AE or BE?
I see some of each.

I'm assuming you mean British English and American English, I mainly use British English but I mix up my spellings

I figured so. Most Americans never 'accidentally' use Brit spell. 🙂

It's usually 'realise' and 'realize' for me, I always accidentally use realize

Chapter 2 and 3 just went away...locked? or deleted??

Ive made them private for now, I think I need to focus on chapter 1 and fix all those mistakes for now, I get overwhelmed easily so like I’d prefer to stay with one chapter
