Can Anyone Share Insights On Hunter's SYEP Program?
In terms of quality L4L > SYEP
SYEP is good for starting tho but it’s just simple retail jobs
i think it depends on your worksite because there are some where you'll sit around doing nothing and other sites will actually have you working
i did syep twice. the first one was online and my provider had the worst worksite offerings so those who didn't get assigned to one were given ptd, which was an online program where you had to attend weekly and submit assignments (basically school). my second one was pretty good. i got to work with a government department in an IT position— so yeah, it all depends on your worksite/provider
SYEP is great for getting a summer job and making money quick but if you want something more long term that gets your career going then ladders for leaders is the better option
I’ve done it twice the first time was fine and the second I had a shitty supervisor
L4L or SYEP
SYEP
L4L is more competitive right, and has an interview process?
SYEP's fs more laid back
Yeah
si and it’s not guaranteed
If you don’t have anything else to do this summer just do SYEP
but if you have better options just do the better options…remember government is still hiring
