I went to financial aid on February 21st and one of the ladies told me she will look at it and to email her in a week if nothing changes. I emailed her on March 8th and she replied that she is awaiting a response from TAP. Its been more than a week. I am finding it really hard to pay for transportation since I come from Long Island. I graduate this May btw. I went to financial aid again today, and they told me that even if it gets approved, I will get the refund only after graduation. Is this true?

Hmmmm I’ve tried to apply for a emergency grant in the past (I was homeless) and the form wouldn’t go through for me. I even emailed the person in charge about it twice and there was no response. I thought about doing it again for this but they seem unreliable so idk. Especially since idk if transportation money is something they would seriously consider (if even me being homeless was something they didn’t consider).
