Okay..

So I had a question on this before regarding the recommendations, and now I know who I am going to email, etc.

Each CUNY school has its own graduate application, and in the Recommendations tab it says "List A Provider"

It then asks for a lot of information including their Full Name, Address for some reason which I think is just the "schools" Address

Okay that's fine.. Question is, do I include the reasoning behind the "ask" for the recommendation before sending this Recommendation Provider, or do I send it within the Recommendation Provider

For Context, when adding a Recommendation Provider it automatically sends them the email, for their recommendation on my behalf. There is a section within that where I can include a personal note that is included in the email. Which is better??

Last Question, now since each school has its own application and I have yet to complete one, are the recommendation provider list shared between the CUNYs graduate app? Or do I really have to send an email stating to the professor that I am going to send them 5 different school applications??? I can also list different professors for recommendations and shoot them an email, but I don't know I am stumped!

For anyone who has already graduated and applied for graduate school or already got accepted please let me know, I am trying to get this done with as quickly as possible,

Idk if this is what ur asking for but I think you should ask the recommender if they could write you a strong letter of recommendation before you enter their name into the system. From there, I guess the recommender will probably state their relationship to you anyways I would imagine.

I asked mine in email beforehand and once they agreed I added them and the schools sent it.

The recommenders aren’t shared on each cuny application you’d have to enter it back in each schools recommender list.

also some of the cuny schools have priority deadlines you should watch out for, & they don’t consider your application complete for review until they receive all your recommendation letters so you should def get on that.
