I feel like i don't enunciate my words enough so im wondering how to practice speaking more clearly and confidently. I feel like this will help me a lot with line delivery and overall public speaking. My voice also feels unstable (?) when i speak, like it can't stick to an octave. Overall i would like to learn how to practice making my voice more stable and clear if anyone has any advice :D

Im currently in high school and hoping to become a voice actor in the future.

Failing to enunciate is often an issue of your brain going faster than your mouth, making shortcuts that your physical body can't keep up with. You might find some success from practicing tongue twisters - doing them properly forces your brain to stop taking shortcuts and let your mouth keep up.
In addition, you can practice super-over-enunciating some sentences, then from there dial it back to "normal"

As far as the "unstable pitch" issue, it would be helpful if you could send a recording of this happening; I'm having a hard time picturing it in my head.

Some common tongue twisters you might find helpful:

  • She sells seashells by the seashore. The shells that she sells are seashells for sure.
  • Red leather, yellow leather (or red lorry, yellow lorry)
  • I'm not a pheasant plucker, I'm a pheasant plucker's son. And I'll be plucking pheasants till the pheasant plucking's done. (Be careful with that one lol)

Hi there!

My teachers say that we have to read aloud a lot. I do this on a daily basis because I tend to talk super fast and that is wrong for locution since I tend to skip sounds like the final 's', and 'th' sounds.
I also try to record myself while doing this and I have experienced an improvement.
