#Limited space and resources, what to do for decent audio?

Currently working with Audacity, ATH-M40x headphones, and a Fifine mic (unsure the exact model). Also currently away from my usual space.

I have access to one closet and tried to set up there with blankets, but there isn't anywhere to put a mic or my computer (ended up sitting on the floor, holding the pop filter, lol) and the doors keep opening. What are my options here (keep trying the closet, use another space, etc?)

Any way to use the closet as just the mic space and put the computer beside/behind? (Keeping the door open?) Essentially use it similarly to how a “ vocal booth to go” is?

There isn’t anywhere to put the mic (except the floor), which is the bigger issue I think 🤔 there’s a bunch of those wirey metal shelves and that’s it

The rest is definitely possible, though!

Like the Rubbermaid fast track shelves? If so, I’d recommend taking those out if possible, anything metal/solid can definitely interfere. If you can’t perhaps moving them around to accommodate a mic stand? Or even perhaps a clamping mic mount could work with the shelves?

Yep! Taking them out isn't an option, unfortunately (this is a temporary setup, which I think I forgot to mention, but I can't do much about the shelves).

Buuuuut I do have a clamping mic mount, so that and putting things outside might just work, thank you!
