it's a well regarded combo
So I’ve heard
I was thinking of getting a cloud lifter as well but thats for a later date i think
A cloudlifter is useless for condenser microphones
AT2020 and focusrite scarlet are a decent combo. Depends on what you are working with. Just because a mic is a good mic, doesn't always mean it's good for your own voice. I know people who do not like Neumann mics because it doesn't work for them, even though they're the best of the best. Play around and see what you like. Can't go wrong with AT2020, but I like the Rode NT1-A. Scarlet is great for starters. Eventually as you improve and get more money, you can always upgrade.
Saved myself money from then
Thanks for the advice
I suggest avoiding Focusrite because they’re more of a hit and miss
Go for the Behringer UPHORIA UMC22
Speaking of alternatives is the UA volt 1 any good or do you not know?
Uhhh it’s alright I guess but there’s better alternatives
If you’re wanting to spend around that much you might as well get the SSL2
It’s much more up to standards for broadcast quality
At the moment its a bit much for me unfortunately
Well the ones you’re considering for ~$140 you might as well save up $40 more and get an interface that’s more known and broadcast quality approved
Because the Focusrite is known for a gamble in quality and overly high production rates without test quality, and the UA volt 1 is just mid overall, the UA company is better for their more expensive ones like the Apollo Solo
I suppose I could wait a bit longer since I still have bit more money i should get from my pay. BTW could you send me a link of what the ssl2 looks like? I want to make sure its the right one that i saw.

I thought that was the one
looks very sleek
my struggles to but entry level products XD
I cry every time
The Volt line has the vintage circuit which is good for sibilant microphones/voices
Which mic were you wanting? The AT2020?
correct
I use the AT2020 at my desk with my SSL2
I think the AT2020 is not sibilant at all 😂 almost the opposite
how dose one know what kind of voice they have?
It has like, automatic compression
What do you sound like
Is your voice more bass, bright, soothing
I would say soothing?
Do you have a feminine or masculine tone?
masculine
The AT2020 probably works well for you then
But I’d still recommend the SSL2, or the EVO 4 maybe
