What's your budget?
90-115
As someone who owns a Solo I can tell ya that you get pretty good bang for your buck, especially if you are using a DAW thats compatible with its specific driver like Fl studio
Oh lawdy! Umm... @maiden rose.... are you aware that you are now level 4? You're getting closer to... um.....
.................

the scarrlets dont offer anything that the cheaper behringer alternatives like the um2 and umc22 dont have plus they have a not super common but still existing clock drift issue and not so good drivers
Quick question
What’s a DAW?😭
Digital Audio Workstation
Heck Audacity itself is a DAW
Can you explain that in a easier wording
Sorry I’m just on so many antibiotic or wtv that’s called
My brain isn’t functioning properly
Ohhh
Its a place where you can add some spice or take away spice to sound, allowing you to edit it in any way you want as long as you know how
Good, cause that's a great free place to start
Anyways you should maybe wait until someone else more knowledgable about Other Audio interfaces comes along
Alright I will
I saw that AT2020 was on sale last night or couple of days ago so I went and bought it
Now I still need a couple of more stuff
I still stand by the Solo since it's been stable for someone who isnt yet fully profession, AKA me lol
Hopeful you have a stand and some sort of boom stick
Wishing you the best btw ❤️
Purrrfect to hear, then you should be just fine once you can start
@slim quartz I highly recommend you go with the Behringer UPHORIA UM2, it's definitely the best interface for those who are on a budget. This interface will allow you to control the gain and sound into your microphone. It also has a plug for your headphones so you can use them through it, which I highly recommend you do.

The interface uses a mono jack (as almost all interfaces do), so if you use earbuds you would have to purchase an adapter that would accommodate that.
And if you don't have one yet, you will also need an XLR cable to connect your microphone to your interface. I would find out how far away you would want the interface to be and get the length accordingly. For my desk, mine is 6 feet, and for my studio, it's 20 feet.

If you're looking for a simple, affordable, and effective way to record music on your Mac or Windows PC, then check out the Behringer U-Phoria UM2. Ask any Sales Engineer here at GearNuts, and they'll gladly tell you that you don't need anything fancy to take down your ideas, and the U-Phoria UM2...
Okay I think I’ll just get UM2
I ask in other server and someone said to stick with Scarlett and another said something about UA volt 1. I’m on a budget regardless so I’ll just stick with your suggestions
Oh lawdy! Umm... @slim quartz.... are you aware that you are now level 3? You're getting closer to... um.....
.................

Like Daffi said, the Scarlett doesn't really offer anything more than the UM2 does. If you ask me I think it's worse than the UM2 - I've heard more people having uses with the gain control on the Scarlett's after 3rd generation than any Behringer products
I used it for about three years
With the AT2020, actually
It's the best beginner setup to help you dive into the use of XLR and gain control
Ahh okay
Wdym mono jack
Clock drift?
Anything smaller than the 18i8 or whatever doesn't have a built in clock and relies on a codec so if your cpus clock changes often you'll get this choppy sound I can find an example if you want
Oh lawdy! Umm... @unkempt stream.... are you aware that you are now level 9? You're getting closer to... um.....
.................

Unbalanced you mean?
You need to explain that to her in terms she understands, is what she's saying
I don't even know what you wrote for this either
Uhh no?
This is unbalanced mono
This is balanced mono or unbalanced stereo
Ok so
It has this not so common but still present issue which if occurs can make your audio all choppy
TS?
The headpone out on the um2 isn't TS
Its TRS or unbalanced stereo
Really? I used a mono jack
Wdym why
Nvm
??
Anyways yeah it's stereo
I use this exact adapter with my umc204hd
Yep I used it with my UM2
