#Solar with power poles

I have literally never wanted to build a power pole on top of my solar array. That being said, I've built a hundred of them instead of chaining the array together.

Please auto wire them and make them buildable as a set like pipes/conveyors. Only make us join sets together.

You can chain the solar panels together, why do you need power poles?

If you are building them and the array is tipped like this, you can hit the hitbox of the elevated portions.

#

but it they are flat they can't clip the edge.

#

I want to be able to click and drag to build 10 solar arrays at the same time, with the wiring automatically chained together so I don't have to clip the edge and build the power pole then stop, remove it, then continue wiring.

#

Now this one has moved so I end up like this:

Maybe? The 2nd image you're trying to connect the 2nd panel to the pole, but you can tie the 2nd to the 1st then the 1st to the pole. What's your use case for not daisy chaining the panels?

#

In the 1st image. Are you saying you can't place the panels there or are trying to run wires? Not sure I've seen they arent placable in any orientation next to each other - that would be odd.

Try it yourself in the latest game. Place 5 in a row. Then once the edge is outside the hitbox, you can clip the edges, where instead of connecting the two as you would want to do, it actually places a pole on top of the array. You could probably fix this by extending the "hitbox" of the array vertically by some amount so that the edges never extend outside the box.

It looks like it's switching between connecting the pole to the panel and just placing a panel. Not sure it's a bug unless it let's you embed the pole in the panel directly. Just an odd effect. Not sure there's an actual deficiency yet though.
