Failed to download. Failed to extract addon

i've tried reinstalling i've tried unsubbing i've tried verifying i've tried clearing the steam downloads folder i've tried clearing the steam download cache and nothing is working

The way i fixed it was by completely reinstalling the game.

did you delete the files after you uninstalled it?

Have you tried moving the game to a different Drive, according to some people online that could fix it though for me that didn't work. Try switch your steam download location too

If this problem still happening this most likely a Workshop problem

Some workshop addons doesnt work as much i got one addon that couldnt extract

Which is like a server issue between steam and gmod that makes the download not work properly or the addon doesnt work at all or the URL download server are down

Thats my theory

Reinstalling the game wont work as much since the downloads from the workshop are only from download servers (from the cloud ofc) and it extracts itself automatically to the gmod files by steam
