Voice chat not working (Only in gmod)

Voice chat doesn't work on both my accounts in gmod. Tried different mics and they didn't work. Steam ticket didn't help, facepunch ticket didn't help. Works in any other non facepunch game and discord, only gmod (and rust) it doesn't work. If you need me to run any tests or show anything I will do so.

can u show ur voice settings on gmod and steam?

i can see on ''in game voice'' its on my speakers btu even when i force it to my mic it still has no audio on the microphone test

what do your windows sound settings look like?

try turning on exclusive mode, if that would maybe fix it.

if not, then its something with gmod because your settings look correct otherwise. try verifying the files

try opt out of steam beta if your in it

you have set your speakers as the microphone

same issue, wont let us both select anything in the select device option shown above im guessing

yeah and even if i turn my speaker of so it forces the mic to be there no audio in microphone test in steam or in game

i recieved this from someone at facepunch, im still trying to decode what to do from it but i hope it helps you. and if you figure it out i'd apprecate an update on what you did to fix it

I just reinstalled windows and it worked. I have to reinstall all my apps again but i guess it was worth it for me
