fuck you
uuughhhh
i typed like three paragraphs out and the bot deleted it all
i need to know how to rig the face of a model with a 2d face
so it blinks at random and the mouth changes when the player talks
is this bodygroups? texturegroups? i dont know
For blinking : You will need an eye blink shape key named “Blink”.
For mouth animation : You will need a mouth shape key named “jaw_drop”.
But for 2D. I’m not sure how you’re going to deal with but there are ways to do so.
I decompiled a bunch of models that do the same general thing and i'm pretty sure they don't use shapekeys
I’m telling the default way. You can do your own hacky ways if you can.
oh yeah since you have experience could i ask you another question
what is it indicative of when a texture is completely black in studiomdl
there are three materials here - an "eyes", "nose" and "mouth" texture. i exported all of them identically but only the mouth texture works
the nose texture isn't assigned to a bodygroup so it's got nothing to do with that
i think i've got a clue
i don't think i can overextend the UVs at all
that's what's fucking it up i hope
fuck me dude i've been looking for ANY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO TEXTURE FILES
AND THERE ARE NONE
It's not just in studiomdl, it's also in the game
damn did the guy go to sleep right after answering this
