Game crashes when entering server.

I am playing on Endeavor OS.
Any time i try to join a server, the game immediately crashes.
I tried everything, uninstalling addons, verifying the cache, reinstalling the game, nothing works.

It would be beneficial for you to provide your crash dump file, this can either be found in

GarrysMod/crashes (files named .dmp)

or the GarrysMod folder (files ending in .mdmp) (I believe)

Something might be going wrong because of my setup

I am using a laptop to give me wifi access

if no crash files exist then something is definitely wrong.

I'd suggest backing up all the important files like addons, saves, data and lua folders (if you've saved anything in them) and then deleting the GarrysMod folder entirely after uninstalling the game

then reinstall

since it should be msking crash reports even if it's a bad setup

This might help; I don’t use Proton because it takes forever to load servers vs native 10-15 seconds.
