best I can tell you is tell your client to update their graphics drivers, since it works on your end

disable any "performance boosting" addons, etc

these are known to break gmod in unexpected ways

-noworkshop launch option is a good way to test if it's an addon issue, as well as -autoconfig to reset graphics settings

also make sure they aren't using -dxlevel 81 or something, this is no longer supported

you can spawn a prop with an envmap to check if it's a game issue or a material issue
