Also note: I wanna learn how to do the jiggle bones for some of the stuff that is on the model and also make C-hands. Though for now, I just wanna know how to make the playermodel possible, the C-hands and jiggle bones will be later if anyone knows as well how to do them.

delete everything from reference but the skeleton, then you have to parent it to your model accurately and do some stuff with weightpaint

#

it should be something like that

#

never done that though

# pseudo cedar never done that though

Alright I guess. Thanks at least for some assist, I doubt most people here would know how to do MMD models but maybe this can work I suppose. I also tried converting the model before you showed up and the convert button for source was grayed out. I'm using the 3.2 branch which works for the MMD tools better, maybe I gotta download a previous version of source tools to get it working.

Ok so the convert button or that export button is grayed out and I can't press it if I remember since I'm not on my PC rn. I have the export file location set up and so game location or whatever hooked up too as well, but it's still grayed out.

# pseudo cedar you have to select the model too though

Hmm, I'll try that once I get on my computer and boot up blender. Maybe I did comically miss that step. But I'll do the other stuff first before I export it, I'll also show you the way the model files (or in that organization window thing) is set up so I you can tell me what to delete first before doing anything of importance... though it's all in Asian language (most of it) so go by pattern recognition, did the same for me as well.

There's the model itself, the collection and the source engine export tab (with the export button grayed out)

rugged wagon

No menu is popping up too

rugged wagon
#

Maybe a version that came out before 3.2

pseudo cedar
#

wait

#

why is it parented to a empty

#

uhh

rugged wagon
pseudo cedar
#

i think you should unparent that

pseudo cedar
rugged wagon
#

Unparent what exactly?

pseudo cedar
#

everything from an empty

rugged wagon
#

The whole hierarchy?

pseudo cedar
#

and select only mesh and rig

rugged wagon
pseudo cedar
#

other way

#

like

rugged wagon
#

So only unparent those two

pseudo cedar
#

yeah i guess

rugged wagon
#

Is the rig the stickman with a box on it's hand?

#

For the icon

pseudo cedar
#

yeah

rugged wagon
#

Or is it bone groups

Ok got a older version (version 3.1.1) for blender source tools

#

Seems to work despite missing the other commands

rugged wagon
# pseudo cedar yeah

Ok... So I need a bit of a recap of what to do with the model and what else to do with the CQ file once I converted the model to source.
