honestly it could be the "SNPC Particle resource Pack" or anything nextbot related, because ive seen both do this to gmod before. if you have anymore nextbot/particle stuff, try removing those but other that im gonna have to continue looking through what you have because i never checked the whole thing @pure ravine
btw what kind of graphics card are you using? and are your drivers up to date?

Turned out to be nextbots. I unsubbed some of my NPC addons and it no longer gets stuck.
sigh. spoke too soon. now its Lua.

my guess is that you are on the 32 bit release, try the 64 bit release
because with your addon set the game just crashes on the 32 bit release but on the 64 bit release it works completely fine, probably out of memory error
