#bone completely broken

Hi, I'm coming to you with a big problem, I made a rig of a robotic arm with an ik constraint and damped track constraint for the cylinders, but when I export and re-import my bones are not all in the right place and my animation and my model are completely broken, would anyone have a clue please? I don't understand :/

#

Because of this, the axes of rotation are wrong and the pistons can't point at each other properly.

#

I have the impression that it takes into account the model in its edit position, but shouldn't it do that?

#

(and I have already applied the transforms)

#

I did a re-import of the model to check the bones of the model (and I saw that they were completely dead) and the compilation was done with my rig

What you refer as the "edit" position, is the resting position of the model.

#

Try applying the pose as the rest position, and the "edit" position will update to the pose you have set up.

#

It's essentially apply transforms, but for the armature, instead of the object.

Nothing

#

Or if it needs changes, make those changes. But you should generally just use pose mode to animate with.

🤣
might wanna fix that, then

maybe I will try to convert to mesh my mesh before applying the rest pos

You can probably assign-, wait. this wasn't a mesh before?

#

nevermind.

#

Was gonna say you could undo that,, then copy the pose to another keyframe, then apply the rest pose to the original keyframe.

#

In a new action, of course so you don't override the existing one. I doubt it'll keep though, and you may need to just reanimate the arm

yes it was a mesh, I mean to bake the animation movement on my mesh

for re parenting

h,m,, I am not sure at this point..

#

Would you mind if I take a look at the .blend project? Preferrably the version before your first SMD export.

it works!!!! I had forgotten this concept of reset/mode pose, it's been hours I've been dealing with this problem !!!
