Cant play on macOS

so, i watched a video yesterday on how do download gmod for mac (by selecting the x86-64 beta), it worked, but when i open and try to play it, clicking on "Start new game" or "find multiplayer game" it suddenly stop working, i cant click any other button.

In the video comments i saw some people commenting about this same issue, but i couldnt find any solution.

Im using this, i discovered another problem yesterday and ill try to fix it today
