when i open this map https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3152311498 it gets me a blank "engine error" with nothing in screen

if it has to do with source engine you might want to uninstall temporarily your other source engine games as these might confuse the system into thinking the other game's engine is the correct one, or its just because the map is so huge ou cant run it

Might just be an infinite map issue.

this right here. the base gmod cant handle infmaps, and you'll need to switch over to the x86-64 bit beta branch to be able to play it
