I've tried verifying my cache

reinstalling all my addons

Few general things you can try for now:
-Make sure your Steam is up to date and you are not using any Steam Beta branches
-Try the "dev" beta of Garry's Mod and see if it works with it (right click Gmod in the library -> properties -> betas -> choose "dev" )
-Get current on windows updates/security software & restart the computer
-Restart your internet router hardware
-Check that Garry's Mod is allowed through your firewall & other security apps
-Use a wired connection instead of wifi for stability
