Unfortunately, it's just some sort of a wrapper of default gmod surface/draw functions (although it adds usefull stencil/circle stuff), if we talk about rendering stuff.

Imgui is about vgui layout. It has draw library (draw.lua) which is just a wrapper to default gmod functions. I compare them since they are in same category.

Other stuff in imgui can't be compared since it's mostly vgui layout stuff. Different categories.
