whenever a projected texture, like a flashlight or a lamp, gets drawn on such models, it has this weird artifacting on jigglebones and faceflexes.
from the looks of things, it draws the new lamp/flashlight projection only on non-modified parts of the model's mesh.
what potential settings am i missing to alleviate this? PAC3 discord had no answers and this seems to be an issue with gmod itself rather than the addon.
#issue with projected textures and models rendered via LUA (specifically, PAC3 addon)

you dont have pirated hl2 files or something right
that shouldn't be related and all of my content is legitimately bought.
this happens ONLY on LUA implementation of rendering a model. regular q menu spawned models do not have this issue. this seems to happen, as i already said, only when you try to render a model using LUA
hl2 files like to replace faces so I was just guessing
bump. is there really no fix to this?
is this some inherently GLua-related issue? i don't quite get it
I get the same issue when using lua to draw models.
This isn't fixable, if the dozens of other add-ons with the same issue are anything to go by
oh well. guess this needs a github report in that case?
it's weird how the shapekeys/faceflexes don't affect it. im guessing the calculations for light are being done before those get applied?
another weird thing is i didn't seem to find anyone having this issue and thought it was just me
