#Any Modders That Port L4D2 Models To Gmod?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
If you only need ragdolls, then they should be able to mount those models (or failing that, recompile) without an issue
If they're something like survivor replacements, try using Source Skin Editor to change the model paths (this is a GUI alternative to hex-editing the model files) - you'll still need to recompile if the models aren't compatible though.
Ok i will try but can you tell me about more details? Cuz im starter
try it and see
look up gmod model compile on Google
because it sounds like all you need to do is either move your completed .mdl files into the game folder, or compile your smds or whatever
And it should work

no
i mean, you could try reusing the existing animations and mapping them to gmod ACTs
would just need to edit the qc a bunch
or use the proportion trick if you're extra lazy
Player model animations have been largely enhanced in Garry's Mod 13 (update 143). The movement system was switched to 9-way (used in Team Fortress 2), current sequences were polished/tweaked, IK rules added, and last but not least, new animations were..
you can google the proportion trick yourself
Now i got some problems
-ragdoll animation
-materials textures
Even i put right direction for materials, the model still got purple and black textures ._.
