How you can get space back by cleaning your GMod folder, this tutorial shows you how to remove unused Garry's Mod addons and server downloads, free up disk space, this tutorial replaces my older tutorial that has some outdated tips but this tutorial is updated for 2023 and should be all the efficient ways to clean your gamefolders and get rid of...
already watched didnt work
wtf
ive even searched for a folder that has 30gb there isnt
i dont have any addons
the server addons are just there
i factory reset garrys mod 3 times and it didnt work
@winged osprey did u try remove the whole folder?
like deleting "Garry's mod" folder
why wouldnt that delete garrys mod?
i factory reset it
Follow this path: Program Files (x86) (If it doesnt say Program Files x86 then just go to Program Files) > Steam > SteamApps > common (For me its called Common but for some others it may be your Steam Name) > GarrysMod > garrysmod > downloads (There may be a few Downloads Folders but make sure inside the Downloads Folder there is a Folder called "server") > server
then delete the everything inside the "server" folder
If that folder is empty, the new Gmod downloads go to garrysmod > cache > workshop.
You'll notice that the files are not named, it is just a bunch of Numbers. A trick I do is click on the "Date Modified" Tab near the top so you can delete Old Content from when you were a Noob to new Content you accidentally Downloaded from some dumb server. You can Also Choose the "Size" Tab which shows you in order the Content that takes up the most Space to the Least
dont got a downloads folder
this then
i dont have a cache folder
yes
💀
I will look deeper into the problem and I will keep you updated
