What I would advise is ripping the textures from the .vpks, going into VTF edit, exporting them as .bmps, and then making them back into .vtf files but in version 7.2

instead of extracting the vpk's, just point to your cstrike game folder in garrysmod/garrysmod/cfg/mount.cfg instead
