You can see your health and stuff, so it’s not the whole screen going black. Do you have any lighting or shader kinda of addons?

Without knowing every addon and testing them myself I can't really provide a solution. Try removing addons one by one or 3 by 3 till it fixes

If the issue is not present on a fresh garrysmod install then it’s an addon issue. Follow that guide to solve your problem.

Type ‘bind g’ in console and see what it returns. That might point you in the right direction if you’re trying to figure out what addon is causing issues.

I doubt it’s a hardware issue since it’s clearly rendering that HUD you’ve subscribed to.
It’s some addon you have installed.

It is
If you don’t want to unsubscribe because you have 5000 addons, go to gmod settings > Addons > disable all (not unsubscribe) and relaunch gmod. You can always re-enable them later.

Disable all addons if possible.
Then completely relaunch gmod.

As a last resort you may need to reinstall gmod.

Incredible. Now just re-enable only the must-have addons 1 at a time until it breaks.
Or disable the most recent ones until it’s fixed.
