weird textures

When i installed the game and started playing textures looked like this for some reason but when my brother played on his old laptop the textures were normal please help

unninstall and install the game

or you delete all files and do the steam verify files

or just do the verify

I tried uninstalling and installing it before and it happens with hl2 too basically with source when i use the command
Mat_dxlevel 85 wich fixes it it just crashes but in hl2 it doesn't

Sometimes I deal with weird textures as well, but for me, it's mostly with character models. For example, I have mods of a Mortar Stormtrooper and a Doom Stormtroopers pack installed, but in the spawnmenu and even when I spawn the models, I see textures like this on them. It looks as if the full textures are there for the most part, but at the same time, they're not. Even the textures for the body suits underneath the armor don't show up

Update: I was able to fix the weird texture issue on the Mortar Stormtrooper. Turns out I needed a specific Battlefront Stormtroopers mod, which apparently had the correct textures shared by both mods. And I thought that it would also fix the texture issue with the Doom Stormtrooper, but I think that mod uses a different model texture or something. I'm still trying to figure that one out

This looks like a graphics card death

The fact you have to put the game to dx level 85 is a sign, and the incredibly low quality textures

Have you got like a really old or weak graphics card from 2002?
