A lot of the rest of chats are more complaints that this is still being discussed and have not added more to the topic per se

If a mod is there and removes it, that is great. But what's really the urgency for us to care when people just advertise their youtube channels?

It's an inappropriate use of the server's platform. They are making an attempt of personal gain and/or profit off of someone else's platform they don't own. You don't go in a grocery store and start advertising your own business on somebody else's property without permission.

So I guess the urgency is to remove trespassers ASAP before the cause more havoc

I agree. But would you personally intervene if someone started advertising at someone elses grocery store?
If not, you can certainly leave it to the store to worry about that.

Yes, because if they start profiting off of the grocery store and affect the business, the owner will be force to raise prices that will affect me. Worst scenario, the owner goes out of business and I'll have to shop somewhere else that might be an extra 5 miles from my house.

Your scenario isn't particularly realistic.

And you ignore that stores aren't there for your benefit.

We have different ways of handling stuff

But for their own.

With scenario I mean the idea that the grocery store will raise prices as a consequence of someone elses advertisement.
I think that would be a rather specific and uncommon scenario.

They are making an attempt to divert customers

Really just to generate them. Very few scenarios where a service necessitates exclusiveness. Or if it does, it's for a reason that is detremental to the customer. That is what you're trying to protect.

They are entitled to that. I approve of their right to make decisions about who they let advertise, but I'm not their friend and when I am myself targeted by ads, or promotions or collaborations, then they are probably not mine either.

I talk about food too y know. There's like a fine balance i get it.

Im usually okay with like 3 back and forths about mundane stuff.

The good news is we voiced our opinions, and other members will hopefully be more mindful about it. Or at least the staff will be more aware

And if the members don't abide, well we can't do much of anything about it.

Im up for banning or whitelist/mutung intentional spammers and rule breakers but what can you do about the people that needs 5 mins of non anime chat and can't find satisfaction in gen or lounge or other servers.

Im ok lending an ear.
And ill heavy handedly circle the convo back to anime if need be. All i can do

I can confirm its a complex problem. It's up to @cobalt gate and admin to make that decision. If you want to be mire active in it, apply to be a mod if they let you.
