some time ago they added yet another new mechanic, honestly this is why I still check out new demons 2+ years after stopping to play, which is Earth Field and Sky Field

you can only have one of each at the same time and they override, so if demon A applies an Earth Field and then demon B also applies an Earth Field, only that of demon B is active

demon A is useless in this situation

they released Danu like 2 years ago and is absurdly op, turning meta on its head

until Danu you had a bunch of Endure effects, survive death with 1 / 200 / xyz hp remaining and all stack

if you have 3 skills like this, you can avoid death 3 times

BUT

most unique skills, the stuff that almost all banner demons have, ignore endure effects so these are not helping

though there is a good deal of dmg from chain effects and stuff that does not ignore endures so they stil had some limited use

Danu disables all enemy "ignore endure effects" and adds a "survive with 7500 hp" effect for all party members

ever since, almosrt all new demons come with assive effects of enduring up tp 6 times, some even also add more endures to party members and it can add up to eg Medusa habing to be killed **13 times **if build the right way

now the SMTIV mcs come with their own "survive with 3000hp" effects, Nanashi 3 times and Asahi 5 times

yet, Asahi uses her own, basically worthless, Earth Field, so if she is used literally none of the endure effects matter because unique skills will just ignore them as they used to
