Well, If I remember it well, it's not only adding, but also adding permissions
There is a table called console memberships. I think it was that table where the user should be added.
Why not adding it through the console directly instead?
I highly suggest performing backups just in case and being careful as making manual modifications could affect security if not done properly

Is that possible without setting up SMTP? Invites go by email?
