Mainly in stations and maybe the lobby, toggled on and off in settings ofc

This would:
-allow for better communication in lobbies about game modes or pre-cartridge selections
-talk out problems with disagreements in decisions made about the train with your crew
-experienced players in the group can help answer questions from new players so that they can get better and be more productive for the team
-better communication about planning strategies with cartridges and wagons/upgrades
-allow players to share discord or other contact info so that they can continue the run with a group later rather than just leaving, the friend system is awkward because of how often people are in runs and its hard to group up

Would be an AMAZING feature

We may discuss this a bit.
While I do get the sentiment why people would need this, premade texts kind of directly map to emojis already.
(e.g. you can build a sentence by spawning multiple emojis).

One of the biggest issues with free text chat is obviously moderation. Other points are the lack of good controller support & the language barrier it creates.

I do like the idea of sharing Discord information though so this option could be added in any case. The moderation and controller issue could be reduced by enabling the voice chat feature, which is by default disabled and only enabled on players request&private lobbies. But that is more of an issue for ongoing discussions of console support, because after all on PC most players probably prefer whatever social their are using right now.
