ARE BUG REPORTS IMPORTANT?

Muse Dash receives updates every month and to add new content, some of the code must eventually change. But, on more than one occasion, bugs may not be visible during development and cause problems when they are released as updates.

Whether a problem is simple or complex, you MUST REPORT IT!
If there is a problem that is affecting you, there may be other players who are suffering from the same problem.
Bug Reports this may take a few minutes, but it will help the developers fix the game in future updates.

📝 WHAT I NEED TO REPORT A BUG?

This really depends on the type of bug you have experienced, but it is usually recommended to have in hand the following data:

  • 🎦 EVIDENCE: A clip of the bug or problem you are experiencing is always helpful. Try to take a screenshot or a clip of how to reproduce the bug, so it will be easier to have more context.

  • 📦 GAME VERSION: Make sure you are using the latest version of the game available in the store. Maybe you have an outdated game and because of this you are experiencing a malfunction.
#
  • 🛠️ OS & DEVICE: Collect information from your system! You may be experiencing problems due to the operating system you are using and the devs are not aware of this.
#
  • PATIENCE: Bug reports may take some time to be answered, because they are not automatic. This can cause the process to take between 1 to 10 days.

  • 📦 GAME VERSION: You can read the version of the game in the [Options] tab, which appears in the lower right corner. On mobile or switch devices you can see this info in the device settings.
    • 💡__NEVER__ use the term "LATEST". It's the worst term you can use for report an issue to a dev.

  • 🎦 EVIDENCE: Can you try to replicate the bug and record it? Evidence like this is really valuable for reporting a problem.
    • 💡 A clip where you can reproduce the bug or capture the moment in which it occurs is perfect.
    • 💡 Screenshots are also very useful evidence.

  • 🗒️ GAME LOG: Muse Dash logs audit game actions to help detect anomalies. The moment a bug occurs, close the game and do not reopen it, then look for your most recent game-log!
    • ⚠️ Reopening the game will cause the game-log to restart and lose any track of the bug.
    • 💡 Based on your operating system, search for your most recent game-log:
    • Windows: C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\LocalLow\PeroPeroGames\MuseDash\Player.Log
    • macOS: /Users/"your username"/Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log
    • Android: Android>data>com.prpr.musedash>files>Logs
