Sorry if this is no longer helpful, but if you are trying to make the right pouldron face slightly upward to reflect the pose of the arm, it's much easier to follow the musculature already drawn there. Just be sure to leave some wiggle room.

Since it's one piece unlike other pauldron types you should also try and keep the silhouette the same and avoid breaking it. That usually means limiting flexibility for upward motion, but here going at a slanted angle is perfectly fine (outwardly vertical not so much).

You can see my own pauldrons retain their shape (granted this is like, a mini example), and if they do have to movs they usually jut out a little compared to the arms since real armor plates do that if they aren't segmented. Under the armor the shoulders are 1 width thinner than pauldrons in most spots.
