Trivia: Ford intended the SN95 Mustang to be front-wheel drive because during the 80s, most Americans were opting for more fuel-efficient, front-wheel drive cars. When this information got leaked out to the public, they were not happy. They wanted the Mustang to be rear-wheel drive. Even John Coletti, the program manager for the Mustang at the time, disagreed about the idea of a front-wheel drive Mustang.
