im not convinced that it means the channel is new. I think it really is "new player" questions unless you saw something that indicated otherwise

Nobody is going to berate you for asking a question in the "new players" questions - we're not exactly checking your steam hours. Posting it in a question channel is infinitely better than posting it in the suggestions thread
