#More immersive apartments – yours & others

This is a collection of quite a few different ideas that would, at least in my opinion, make the beautiful world of shadows of doubt more immersive and not so beautiful. I will split them into a few messages and I guess you could vote on them like that.

Getting robbed
I feel like there should be some kind of “risk” with owning an apartment and a use for safes. Currently, locking your apartment door or even closing it is kind of pointless, which is not very immersive. Robberies could be a great way to make the world feel more “lived in”, like you’re not the only person who breaks into other people’s houses and make locking your apartment before you leave more meaningful. I also think that the thief leaving fingerprints or whatever in your robbed house and you being able to track them down to get your stuff back could make for a new sidejob.

Request-a-detective forum – making buying a cruncher useful
Just essentially a job board, but online, only accessible by a personal cruncher in your house

#

Murderers or other detectives interacting with your apartment
Imagine coming back to your apartment after a hard days work to the murderer themselves acknowledging the fact that they know you’re looking into their case by writing a note or breaking into your house and writing something on your walls. Same goes for other detectives who want the case up to themselves – I feel like currently it’s just weird and boring that you are the only one who investigates those cases and something like this could make it feel like you aren’t.

#

Traps
Exploring the house of murderers could be a lot scarier if there was a threat that something could harm you (maybe not outright kill you, but break your leg, make you bleed or something), maybe even your house being trapped by murderers to add onto the previous idea.

#

Weird obsessions and npcs with opinions
Most of the houses are pretty generic, I think it would be pretty cool to find some random npcs being absolutely obsessed with some object, i.e. having synth milk, cola or something like that everywhere in their house, maybe notes or vmails about how much they love it.
Also, having npcs with opinions would be pretty cool – people hating on crunchers and refusing to get one, people hating the rich, etcetc.

#

Rebellion groups
This kind of adds onto the opinions point, but I feel like having some rebellion groups who want to attempt to tear down the system meet in basements would be pretty interesting to see, maybe even events where they attack city hall or something

Apologies if some of these are poorly written, I’m kind of sleepy although I woke up not that long ago lol, brain refuses to work. Also, obviously, all feedback and other ideas are more than welcome

I love it honestly , all of those definitely should be added , make the world feel way more alive then what it is.

Oh yeah they do hqve likes and stuff, but what I meant was the obsession being even bigger and essentially becoming their whole personality - notes, vmails, etc about it

#

However yeah I admit I kinda forgot about likes when writing that hahah

Additionally, I think it would be awesome if also using a cruncher, you can view all past jobs you’ve done, the culprits of them, victims, etc. I think it’d be cool to look back on them at times ^^ assuming there isn’t already a way to do that…
