Weapon serial numbers and a gun database. That plus gun licenses. This plus if guns are reported missing or used in a crime we can find out if the gun is reported missing. Also sometimes the serial numbers can be scratched off making it a unregistered firearm

If they're going to add this, then they should also add the possibility of somebody stealing the gun to commit the crime.

Testing for gunshot residue would be something cool to add as well.

If this was added then there would have to be a proper gun store, not just the ones in the fathoms

More detail on the weapons would definitely be awesome.

I noticed the lack of this on my very first case b/c there was no way to tell which of 3 weapons in a gun shop might have been used. Heartily recommend.

A serial number database sounds more believable than a fingerprint database, tbh.

I think it would add a little something to the investigations, as well, because you could track down people who might actually have visited a location, make connections between known associated ( Vic has Person X in their Address Book who has Person G in THEIR Address Book who turns out to be the killer). That way the killer isn't always someone who works with the Vic
