I'm looking for QoL improvements that allow me to stay 'in the moment'. Loving this game so far, but it's taking a lot not to sprint from objective to objective so I can take part in the actual gameplay loop. As a detective, I feel like I would ALWAYS be thinking about the case in every little moment I had. Diners. Elevators. Watching TV in my apartment. Standing on the street watching the crowd.

I can see a number of ways that achieve this on different levels.
Easy (Hopefully): Add a toggle in the menu that continues time - maybe even at a small timescale multiplier. Or add a separate keymapping to open the menu without pausing.

Real Difficult (Probably): Allow for some autopathing of the character so that I can auto-walk to my destination while going over case details in the menu.

yes but no

honestly id maybe just suggest adding a unpause feature

As long as it's a togglable option I see no problem with this. People who want it can have the extra little challenge, people who want full pauses to think can have it.

An optional timescale for this would be wonderful too

I too would like to review evidence while I'm on a long elevator ride

feels natural bc the menu is transparent

ya for sure having a ability to unpause is nice as you can do your work and its like your just waiting there just spending time "sitting down" but there should be this option to unpause and pause while doing your data work

would love a simple no-pauses toggle too, mostly for when messing around in your case board

+1 Sometimes I want to sit in a bar, read my notes and just let time go by.
