so i had a thought, what if we changed the game so that if a position is open someone of lower status in the company will attempt to fill it, (if added along with motives as has been suggested this could also be a motive if two or more people are qualified, or if someone wants the job their boss has) and if its a lower rang one they'd attempt to hire a jobless person, this would make npcs feel a whole lot more dynamic, you could meet a low ranking enforcer when you first start the game and slowly see him rise in the ranks and so forth,

for refrence the two main ways a posistion is vacated is thru death or arrest
alltho itd be neat to have ppl get fired but im tryina keep the idea as simple as possible
this would be especially cool, given that I had a case recently where a receptionist murdered the head of HR at their company ("corpo slayer" murder), and it was noted in her employee file that she was ambitious.
this opens tons of options... YES
this would definitely go well with murders aggrovated by jealosy of promotion like a coworker murdered for taking the raise and someone getting fired because of it which would add into the murder lore
