#BitCraft - Crafting, Gathering, Storage?

no one knows anything lmao
๐ช
i was here
Other than the trailer has anything been said
we dont even know anything about the gameplay
oof
What kind of inventory system would you like to see?
I honestly dont know
Something like a bag that can be held on characer
I dont know what items or how many there will be in total?
Is there building? storage? Stuff like that?
resident evil style. Blocks, with rotating managable inventories.
think, tarkov, also.
I'd love that
I kinda agree, I think a minecraft/rust inventory could be cool to. Although its the same idea
Im also curious to see what the hud layout will be, I personally am a fan of simple stuff, rather than the full mmo 100+ icons
ditto
anything you can carry in your pocket goes in your pockets, backpacks for more space, large items like logs need to be carried by hand or cart
^
simple is better, but functionality is something to keep in mind. SOTC managed to have very little and accomplish much
something minecraft based but with less spaces perhaps, nothing crazy hard to manage but also not too unrealistic
I like the idea of a cart actually
but i might be getting the wrong idea about the dev teams vision of this game
^ love the idea of having animals, carts and external things to carry stuff
what if i... was your pack beast...? ๐ ๐ ๐ณ
I agree
you know what idea i love more then anything else though minch...?
and I REALLY need done in a game well?
Ocean Exploration via diving.
Can't share anything yet, but I like some of the ideas mentioned here
I also wonder what spawning in will be like, Is it a rust kinda thing?
๐ตโ๐ซ
minecraft's ocean update was one of my favorites, subnautica was hella fun too
Or just random, Is there a chat? in game voice or text? What will communication be like
Minecraft is pretty cool
I havent had good Oceanic stuff since like.... i guess ArchAge really
they way it played I meant, I playe subnautica and those games
but I mean rewarding kinda simple exploration similar to how we used to troll the waters in archage for loot
dude?
like for economic purposes or,,,
for science
piracy in archeage was something legit af
i would love an archeage style trade system
Another Conan stealing idea-
lootable Shooting stars.
small ones.
random event.
And yea, will you be able to raid?
Like steal from other peoples land?
How will that be controlled
the good old days...
im pretty sure they mentioned that pvp wouldnt exist if it interfered with other players gameplay but i have no proof they said that and dont know the source
so in essence im not sure why i mentioned that
I was the guy who invented boat-net trolling, in the ocean
aha
made it so you could sneak onto PVP boats invisible as a rouge, not break stealth... oh- great times.
I'm not proud of my pirate days in Archeage, but it sure was fun ๐ดโโ ๏ธ
who were you.... WERE YOU UNJII
give me back my freaking trees you theif.
๐
Forest Crow
Also how will names work?
and my guild Wicked used to war.
And how many people will be accepted for the first run?
more news to come on all of that im sure
I believe i was literally just "Patrick" in archage lol
I think my name in original launch of Archeage was just Minch, I was lucky enough to score some beachfront property in Cinderstone Moor
niceee
I had mine on an enemy island, but it was good for trade routing
surrounded by Sad Bois a rival guild lol
I was in a small guild and I think we merged with Survey Corps before I ended up quiting when the economy went whack
ah
I do remember survey's banners. The scout wings
but god damn, Forest Crow as a guild followed people from game to game, it was like i couldnt go anywhere without seeing them back in 2013-15
short story: There was a guy in that guild; UNJII, who would find our thunderstruck tree farms we'd place randomly, and he'd steal them, and replant the cheapest glowey mushrooms and spell out things like; F** WICKED or F** YOU GUYS*
and we would do the same to him. draw the rudest things, out of cheap mushrooms. Which is like... such an insult.
if you're stealing a thunderstuck... oof. it was a fun time.
trade routes would be cool, especially if they were items given acrued value by the playerbase
would be interesting if value of items was entirely player dependent
like no vendors
just if nobody is buying shrooms then sorry u cant sell shrooms
so like a totally player run economy?
probably would need a baseline price otherwise imagine you just get softlocked with mushrooms
the value of items would need to be discovered through supply/demand
but, yes, determined based on like, players need of that item, use of it, etc.
all that driven by the players
a good player based economy would be albions
item prices drop and raise depending on demand
Since there is crafting, I also think that recipies shouldnt be public
Basic things sure
but rare items, or even "class specific items"
Should be private.
what do you mean by private?
Well lets say there is a brewer, someone who makes drinks. I think it should be up to them to create and handle the recipies. If that makes sense?
Or a blacksmith, custom tools using specific metals should be for them to learn rather than it being showed in a in game handbook
It could create rarer items or items that only specific towns/and or regions make
Then again I have no clue what the farming/harvesting is going to be like
And it would then rely on rp ish things idk
perhaps it could be something like in pokemmo and its seeds, where different combinations of different ingredients would yield different drinks (perhaps with a randomly generated effect)
these recipes could then be named by the brewer, and even though they could theoretically be similar to another brewer's drinks in combination, the random effect would give it a sense of "specialness"
to that vein it would also add some rp aspects like travelling to different towns and cities to try a tavern owner's specialty
by brewer do you mean you would want player specializations? or just somebody who has high skill in whatever skill potionmaking might be?
like if someone wanted to set up a shop where they sold drinks/potions
like an rp thing
im sure some player towns will be set up like that
if recipes are gated by skill level i imagine most players will make their own stuff
I just wonder what communication will be like, either text chat voice or nothing Or just in game prompts
Pre written stuff
Just one thing that could be a problem tho is what happens with spawning. If its completely random you could be a large amount of units away from the next closest person or town
hopefully theres a coordinate system/ability to spawn with friends, but we will see
Yea that would definetely be cool
@wooden haven good morning starshine. The eart says, hello
pick pocket
Interesting topic
If have falling stars and search basics for that stars, maybe can add "Shard of the great star" how the as a source of character power and "bag" for items!?
upgrade#ble inventory and baxkpaxks!!!!
that was badly spelled
shrip cookies,
๐ช
ofc
Still resident evil/Tarkov like.
I dont know if I like the rotating boxes, it makes it feel too complicated I guess? I dont really know.
