Band of the Hawk time
My stance on unorganized PvP is the fact that more advanced players could pick on newer players.
Having the only PvP in the game be organized would be much better, as it would also fit into the running of civilizations.
Having to train soldiers, buy resources, etc.
I think it would be interesting if the pvp wasn’t fighting and killing but like. Land disputes and trade wars
organized pvp with setup raids between 2 nations/towns/guilds in war would be awesome, else it would ruin the game
Exactly
Theyre going for a large economy
yea
In a game about economy and controlling landmasses, it would be very interesting to have a very developed PvP system.
Instead of just attacking random players, have to organize everything, train troops, buy resources and transport them to the location.
On what was being said before, having wars be more about managing resources and not just a clear win for one side
Would also add a strategical element of picking where you would locate a country for defense
As in like, they have to really outweigh whether they want to go to war, cause it should be a serious decision. You will lose stuff even if you win
You have to organize everything and the focus on what you are fighting over instead of the actual fighting?
no, but strategical fighting, not just random killing and wiping
Good point. They'd have to consider how many troops/resources they would lose even if they won, and if the nation was important enough for them to conquer.
Ah ok i see
with organized plans
Cause it would be cool to win as an underdog in a war. In mmos its normally people who have more players (zergs) win
Maybe vassalizing and annexing city’s or towns if you win
Adding more social structure
yea
and that destroys the sense of community if theres only 1 or 2 big dogs
unless it's in EVE Online, where 4000 won vs 7000
Thats the type of stuff I would love to see
I love being a part of the early life of a game
More strategic, and the better strategies win and not just by sheer size
there are currently 7 organized "big dogs", we are one of them
So fulfilling
100%
The only problem with PvP is when the winner annexes the new territories, and people complain.
7 big dogs? Wha?
From what I've pieced together on the game so far, there is going to be AI civilizations that people can take over and form empires with.
I believe so
Wouldn’t ai be overkill?
The thing is there isnt much known about the game for us to properly form an opinion
Ai would be boring
but
AI/computer controlled
Like small towns and such that could be taken over
in a massive procedural generated world you would need that, there wont be players everywhere
That would be cool, to have then a war between empires
I was under the impression that the world would be “unexplored” until we got there and explored it and settled there
And the landscape of a battleground change to just being war torn
Players being able to permanently affect the world could also be cool, to remember what happened in a specific place.
Landmarks would be cool
Natural world wonders
Maybe would could make our own world wonders
Ohh for sure
Like being in an ancient war site where 2 great empires fought each other
and stuff like that
that would be dope
I’m finna be an explorer.
I'm just going to run my thing with anyone else who comes along
I may change my mind but that sounds the coolest to me rn
Theres an explorer guild
Since I'd assume there's going to be progress wipes between tests and full release, you'll have time to try new things
Yeah this is the time to try everything
Yh exactly
Oh cool
Yea we are allies with one of them
Who’s we?
:o
Well, good discussion
If anyone is interested in the future in joining a civilization, mine is always open
I think I’d be down
Yep
That's what we sayin, like conqueer them and rule them
Maybe the opposing sides work out a deal/treaty
