#Crafting & Gathering

I for one would love to see resources with their own properties... where copper is good for something, and iron might be good for something else.... but either could be used, if that's all you have on hand. Neither is "better" expect for a specific task.
Potentially something like FFXIV has, where you have to go to all different places to get certain resources. I also do likes it's crafting system
Yes, would love for resources to be unique to different places in the world, to allow for some robust trade/cargo gameplay, etc
It would make people willing to travel far for them more valueable
Didnt even notice this until now lol
I really like the cooking system in breath of the wild. Immersive crafting through tasks is imo a lot more fun than just clicking a button. However, involving too many tasks makes it needlessly grindy. I think botw does a good job of balancing that.
You can take Albion Online as an example
A lot of crafting and gathering professions are available
So biome specific resources? There is a lot of that in survival games (or games with survival elements) like Don't starve or Terraria. A problem I see with this in MMO's is that usually the resources are regoin specific not biome specific (do not know for FFXIV) but seeing as the world would be proceedly generated the resources are probably biome specific.
